Note: The TKO knockdown isn't on the video, the camera went dead prior to last 20 seconds where I kneed him and he went through the ropes onto the judges table./nThis is my 3rd fight which took place on 9-13-08 in Omaha Nebraska. The weight class was 195. My opponent had some professional MMA experience, but hadnt fought straight Muay Thai before. Im not sure how long hes been training, but he was pretty good fundamentally and he hit pretty darn hard. There was no give in him and he fought a good fight./nThe Fight: I took what I had learned from my previous fight at the tournament in Iowa and applied it here. I was much more relaxed and had a better game plan. My goal was to try to listen to the corner and to use my reach to my advantage. However, when it became apparent I was going to be able to clinch up with him I went to knees. After that broke us up from the clinch my teacher told me to throw the head kick and I landed my first knockdown. The round ended and we went to the second. The second round was a lot more clinch work. I scored the first knockdown on the residual effect of a jumping knee, the second on a strong right knee and the third on another right knee. The third knockdown actually put him through the ropes (they were pretty flimsy) and onto the judges table./nThe Wrap-Up: I wound up winning the trophy that night for Fighter of the Night and got to have my picture taken with Clay Guida (UFC Fighter) so it was about as good as it gets for me./nThere potentially might be another video coming this month, and if not, then in November.
